Final exams are in

I know many of you many not see this post, but it's the only way I can communicate to all of you how much I enjoyed having you this semester.

Your final exam papers were, by far, the best I have had in The Power of Myth and Star Wars.  I really enjoyed reading them.  You are all clearly ready for the focus, development, and voice necessary in college papers.

Good luck to all of you in your future endeavors, wherever they take you.

Star Wars final exam study sheet

This will help, young Padawan learners.

The HERO

How does this apply to Anakin?  To Luke?

The ANTI-HERO

How does this apply to Anakin?

in media res
the practice of beginning an epic or other narrative by plunging into a crucial situation that is part of a related chain of events; the situation is an extension of previous events and will be developed in later action. The narrative then goes directly forward, and exposition of earlier events is supplied by flashbacks.

Consider the choice you made as a class to view the film:  4, 5, 1, 2, 3, 6, 7.

How does this differ from 4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3, 7   OR   1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7?
